Senior Recruiting Manager at KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting -Ready to own the close and shape finance at a brand-new Aerospace Manufacturer?! Join our client’s high-caliber team as an Accounting Manager in Manchester, CT. Reporting directly to the new CFO who KBW placed, you’ll lead accounting operations, with a clear path to Controller as the company scales.
Salary
: $125,000–$135,000 + 8% bonus + stock options and elite benefits.

Mostly onsite in Manchester, CT (local candidates only; 1–2 remote days possible after ramp-up).

Support programs for Joby Aviation (eVTOL leader) and next-gen drone R&D.
- Own day-to-day accounting: AP, AR, payroll, GL, and full month-end/quarter-end/year-end close under GAAP.
- Strengthen internal controls across cash, fixed assets, and reporting; prep for clean audits.
- Build budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses; deliver dashboards that drive executive decisions.
- Lead ERP transition from Quick Books to Infor Syteline; integrate HRIS, expense, and finance tools.
- Partner with program leads on cost accounting, direct/indirect cost analysis, and scenario modeling.
- Coordinate external financial and government audits; FAR/DFARS/CAS experience a plus.
- Collaborate with C-suite and manufacturing leaders to align finance with strategic goals.
- Experience
: 4–6+ years in progressive accounting;
manufacturing or tech background required (aerospace/defense a major plus). - Education
:
Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance;
CPA or public accounting background strongly preferred
. - Technical Skills
: Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency (Quick Books or Infor Syteline transition); cost accounting knowledge essential. - Knowledge
:
Deep US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting; government contracting exposure a plus. - Skills
:
Dynamic communicator who translates numbers into strategy for executives and engineers. - Mindset
