The Greater Manchester Region has approximately 2,500 employees. It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services. The Greater Manchester Region serves a region of 300,000 people in 19 towns.
Position SummaryWorks under the direct on-site supervision of rehab clinical staff. Performs a variety of routine rehab duties to assist the department in providing quality care and efficient operations.

- This position requires an individual with good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic personal computer skills using windows based Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred. Job-Specific Competency
- Provides safe, timely, and comfortable transportation of patients.
- Coordinates patient schedules with other department personnel and communicates changes to the appropriate individuals.
- Checks name bands to ensure that appropriate patient is being treated.
- Cleans, sterilizes, and prepares whirlpools in accordance with department protocols.
- Performs routine cleaning of the treatment area and equipment in order to provide satisfactory conditions.
- Assists the clinician in the treatment of patients for transfers, ambulation, and mobility training.
- Assists and monitors patients during their treatment session as directed by the clinician.
- Performs errands as requested by the clinician in an accurate and timely manner.
- Distributes linen to the appropriate treatment areas on a regular basis or as needed.
- Performs routine ordering of supplies as directed by the managing clinician.
- Assists and performs clerical and reception duties to include insurance authorizations, filing, scheduling patients, answering phones, etc...
- Performs all duties with proper body mechanics.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred, along with an interest in the healthcare field.
