The Greater Manchester Region has approximately 2,500 colleagues. It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services. The Greater Manchester Region serves a region of 300,000 people in 19 towns.
Serve as the primary regional/local HR contact, bridging day-to-day operational support with broader strategic workforce initiatives. Provide hands-on guidance in core HR functions including performance management, onboarding, compliance, and policy administration. Partner with business leaders and the broader HR team to support a positive colleague experience, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure HR practices align with organizational objectives. Leverage HR data and insights to inform decision-making, support workforce planning, and drive continuous improvement across HR processes.
Act as a trusted advisor and first point of contact for colleagues, ensuring timely resolution of HR-related matters while promoting consistency, fairness, and compliance across the region.
- First point of contact for general HR and workforce development inquiries. Discreetly handles confidential correspondence and other documents, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Provide support for difficult-to-fill recruiting efforts, targeted hiring campaigns, and Position Review Committee processes.
- Conduct stay and/or exit interviews, identify trends, and develop action plans to improve retention and engagement in collaboration with HRBP. May lead culture and engagement initiatives based on survey/stay/exit interview insights.
- Partner with L&OD on learning and development needs. Align performance management with talent development and retention.
- Assist HR Business Partners and leaders in the development of job descriptions and organization design.
- Support with the use of data analytics to monitor and report on key HR metrics, such as turnover, engagement, and retention, etc.
- Maintain compliance for licensing/certifications and serve as HR point of contact to support regulatory readiness efforts such as Joint Commission and DPH audits.
- Coordinate local orientations, service recognition events, and engagement activities.
- Support onboarding/offboarding activities – i.e. badge issues or collections.
- Serve as a backup for Workforce Coordinator responsibilities and perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required; bachelor s degree in human resources preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, 3+ preferred.
- Must be able to read and understand oral and written instruction and effectively communicate information in English.
- Basic knowledge to understand the business's goals and how HR functions contribute to them
- Able to read, understand, analyze, and communicate data effectively independently with guidance on more complex situations. Involves knowing how to work with data and asking the right questions, interpreting results accurately, and using data to inform decisions.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to convey information clearly, effectively, and respectfully using empathy and active listening to connect and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency with MS office suite and Excel.
