About the OpportunityReporting to the Director of Production Systems, the Pursuit Production System (PPS) Leader is responsible for supporting the development, standardization, and governance of the Pursuit Production System across all Pursuit Aerospace teams. This role is actively engaged in the development of standard work practices, training materials, communication protocols, and continuous improvement processes that unite our team under a common operational framework.
PPS is a key cultural enabler that supports overall employee engagement while also sustainably improving the business through standardization and kaizen.
This role can work remotely, with 20% travel.
Responsibilities Pursuit Production System Development & Standardization- Design, document, and deploy standardized production system elements across Pursuit.
- Establish and maintain standard work practices that support kaizen and eliminate waste.
- Drive standardization initiatives with newly acquired facilities to align with Pursuit's production system principles.
- Document and preserve the evolution of Pursuit's production system, maintaining institutional knowledge.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute kaizen workshops.
- Serve as primary point of contact with external vendors for all external kaizen‑related activities. Support overall logistics and planning for these workshops.
- Maintain comprehensive kaizen workshop history, tracking changes and measuring impact.
- Support standardization and governance of kaizen workshop materials.
- Communicate kaizen schedules, information, and results.
- Present improvements, ideas, and accomplishments to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Bridge facilities together through consistent communication of standard work and best practices.
- Facilitate and provide training as requested on core PPS and KPO content.
- Motivate, coach, and mentor individuals across Pursuit in support of PPS and kaizen.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience across multiple functions including progressive leadership responsibilities – OR – in lieu of degree, at least 10 years of experience across multiple functions including progressive leadership responsibilities.
- At least 3 years of kaizen, operational excellence and/or continuous improvement experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full‑time basis.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated kaizen experience with strong understanding of kaizen tool application.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑motivated with resourcefulness, adaptability, and sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently and in team‑based environments.
- Passion for kaizen, culture development and hands‑on problem solving.
- Strong knowledge of MS tools such as PPT, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
- Experience creating and delivering engaging, structured training and development programs for leaders.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor.
