Pursuit Aerospace Job Opportunity
In this role you will be responsible for setting up and operating lasers. You will be responsible for making sure that you are cutting parts to the most current programs and revisions, you will verify that the parts that you are cutting conform to the drawing and that you have measured dimensions that you can check yourself. You will ensure that all First Piece Inspections are completed when required and that all paperwork is filled out correctly.
When necessary, you may be asked to run multiple lasers simultaneously.
This role is 100% on site at all times.
Responsibilities- Set up and run parts at laser per op-sheets and drawings.
- Ensuring that all parts coming off the laser are conforming to the op-sheets and drawings utilizing height gages, calipers, and other approved gages.
- Ensuring that first piece inspection on all jobs is completed.
- Ensuring all parts are moved to the next operation.
- Ensuring to replace the scrap barrel when necessary.
- Ensuring to accurately complete paperwork relating to counts, material, scrap, and time according to company policy
- Ensuring to perform daily walk around maintenance.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-4 years of job related experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Some Mechanical skills
- Ability to be on your feet all day
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Strong computer skills
- Self-starter/motivated team player
- Knowledge of the laser head, power supply, pulse forming network, optical system and the movement system of the laser.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
- Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
