Praying Pelican Missions is seeking candidates to serve locally as Partner Advocates in Central Region (Minneapolis, Chicago, Colorado, Tulsa). The time commitment is about 15 hours per week on average, with fluctuation in hours during the various seasons of ministry with PPM. Ideal candidates may be individuals who pair this job with other part time or coordinating ministry, to further support their local pastors and non‑profit leaders.
Candidates must reside within the assigned region.

SUMMARYThe Partner Advocate serves as a vital representative for Praying Pelican Missions (PPM), dedicated to building deep, authentic partnerships with local churches and ministries. This role combines strategic partner development, missions consulting, and hands‑on trip leadership to facilitate life‑changing, Christ‑centered experiences.
The Partner Advocate fosters long‑term relationships, coordinates ministry activities, and provides spiritual encouragement through prayer and Scripture, ensuring that PPM effectively supports the local Church in reaching its community for the glory of God.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Partner Development- Ensure deep and authentic partnerships with churches and non‑profit ministries.
- Facilitate and maintain host pastor partnerships and network to add new partners.
- Document all communications with partners in the appropriate PPM platforms.
- Provide regular encouragement and communication with partners.
- Take ownership of host pastor reviews regarding their PPM experience.
- Work with Regional Operations Manager to intentionally match teams with partners based on team goals and ministry needs.
- Plan for groups to participate in PPM mission trips to encourage and equip Christians.
- Accomplish initial "Welcome Calls" and maintain regular contact with assigned group leaders to assist in trip preparations.
- Coordinate logistics with local leadership to ensure itineraries achieve the goals of host partners.
- Set up each trip in conjunction with location managers and promptly communicate details to teams.
- Assist recruiting staff by answering questions and joining recruiting calls as necessary.
- Provide mission teams with a top‑quality, Christ‑centered experience by leading a minimum of two trips per year.
- Coordinate ministry activities with identified partners in the mission location.
- Ensure all task delegations for successful trip leadership are conducted with excellence and in a timely manner.
- Be available during trip season for host partners and trip staff; encouraging them and providing support or aid in emergencies.
- Train and encourage PPM seasonal staff and volunteers in their various delegation areas.
- Follow all PPM Leadership Expectations, Policy Agreements, and handbook guidelines.
- Provide follow‑up communication to operations and recruiting to support team renewals.
- Further develop spiritual, interpersonal, and organizational skills to partner with PPM in furthering the Kingdom of God.
- Be an advocate for PPM and its employees, promoting a positive image and building rapport with all staff members.
- Spend time daily in prayer and scripture for PPM and its various avenues of ministry.
- Attend all major PPM staff events, including the spring conference, training events, and mandatory meetings.
- Meet regularly with a supervisor to enhance communication and promote success with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Participate in regularly scheduled Foundation, Prayer, and Regional Operation calls.
Train and oversee seasonal staff and volunteers and ensure all leadership team members and trip participants follow established guidelines, in collaboration with regional operations staff.
