Critical Care Per Diem - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Overview

Saint Vincent’s Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative team of Critical Care Intensivists. The candidate will provide holistic, high‑quality care to critically ill patients admitted to the critical care unit.

Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

71 Haynes Street (10627) – Saint Vincent’s Medical Center.

Inpatient critical care.

Per diem.

• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic diseases in a critical care setting.
• Perform procedures, order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Speak with patients and families about conditions and plans of care.
• Collaborate with a variety of consultants and the care team.
• Conduct routine physical examinations, develop treatment plans, and coordinate further evaluations or referrals when needed.
• Adhere to protocols and identify issues outside scope of practice for physician referral.

• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).
• Clinical training as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum 1 year of advanced practice provider experience in a critical care setting; neurocritical care experience preferred.
