Overview

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) seeks motivated, compassionate individuals to provide high-quality patient care in a nonprofit setting. The Dialysis Nurse Educator (RN) provides initial and ongoing professional training and education for facility staff.

Schedule and Compensation

Schedule:

Full-time, eight-hour days, Monday through Friday, with evenings and weekends off (may be adjusted to align with clinic hours).

Compensation: $39–$57 per hour, depending on nursing and dialysis experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide initial and ongoing education for patient care staff, leading classroom theory training for staff new to dialysis
  • Develop unit-specific policies and procedures with guidance from the medical director and clinic manager
  • Verify new staff competencies before assigning additional independent tasks
  • Oversee the preceptor program and report progress
  • Educate staff on new and existing clinic policies and procedures
  • Instruct patient care teams to address deficiencies identified during federal or state surveys
  • Assign and monitor completion of new-hire and annual online education modules within established deadlines
  • Administer annual competency testing of all patient care staff and provide additional training as needed
  • Audit medical records, infection control and regulatory compliance; develop corrective plans for deficiencies
  • Monitor and track licensure and certifications for all disciplines
  • Ensure non-certified patient care technicians test for certification within 12 months of hire
  • Coordinate or facilitate CPR certification classes

Education/Training
  • Accredited nursing degree required (BSN, RN diploma, or Associate degree)
  • Two years of dialysis experience required; six months as a charge nurse preferred
  • Current CT Registered Nurse license
  • Current CPR/AED certification
