Registered Nurse (RN) - OR General Surgery

Role: Clinical Nurse Educator responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care through the nursing process.

• Performing comprehensive assessments and developing individualized care plans.
• Collaborating with surgical teams to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Administering medications safely, adhering to policies to reduce errors.
• Maintaining patient safety, accurate documentation, and effective communication.
• Demonstrating flexibility, critical thinking, and autonomous practice in stressful situations.
• Providing age-appropriate care, interpreting patient data, and ensuring safe transfer of care.
• Preparing operating rooms, maintaining aseptic technique, and managing specimen processing.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN license in Connecticut.
• CPR certification upon hire.
• Experience in surgical or labor/delivery settings, specifically assisting with C-sections.

Effective communication, basic computer skills, ability to work under stress, critical thinking, and knowledge of growth and development principles.
