RN Wound Care Coordinator

About This Role

The RN Wound Care Coordinator provides clinical expertise, education, consultation, leadership, and research related to wound, skin, ostomy, and continence needs. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about promoting effective and compassionate care.

• Location: Manchester, CT
• Department/Unit: 91011-Med Education and Development
• Schedule: Part Time, Day shift

• Provide clinical expertise and consultation for wound, skin, ostomy, and continence needs.
• Serve as a resource to patients, staff, physicians, and management.
• Allocate resources to promote efficient and effective care.
• Facilitate the development of collegial relationships.
• Communicate effectively with staff and promote the profession of nursing.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for wounds, fistulae, pressure ulcers, skin breakdown, ostomy care, and incontinence.

• BSN required, MSN preferred
• Certification in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Care/Enterostomal Therapy Nursing required

• 2-3 years of progressive experience in clinical practice in the medical/surgical area

• Current RN License in Connecticut
• BLS certification required
