Veterinarian Medical Director with $50K Signing bonus, Manchester, CT

A small-animal practice in Manchester, CT is seeking a Medical Director to provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance while maintaining high standards of patient care. This role offers a $50,000 signing bonus and the opportunity to shape the culture, growth, and vision of the hospital.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
• Active state veterinary license in good standing
• Active or eligible DEA license
• Strong communication skills, leadership experience, and a positive, team-oriented approach

About the Hospital:

This established general practice provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, including wellness and sick exams, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics. The hospital fosters a supportive, growth-focused environment and serves Manchester and surrounding communities.

Schedule:

Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–6:00 PM;
Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the veterinary team to achieve medical excellence
• Collaborate with practice managers and leadership to implement strategies and improvements
• Support staff development and foster a positive, high-performing culture
• Ensure exceptional patient care and client satisfaction

Compensation:

Competitive base salary with production opportunities and no negative accrual. Annual full-time compensation typically starts at $160,000, depending on experience and credentials, plus a Medical Director stipend.
