Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Overview

Position:
Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician  role supports and oversees repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment within Walmart facilities, using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and high standards in facility maintenance.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and appropriate tools to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders, support Stores and Store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations by following Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights frequently.

• 2 years of experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass MVR.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program or equivalent;
  Mechanical license in the job location is a plus.

• Hourly wage range: $23.00 – $45.00 per hour. Actual rate is at or above minimum wage for the job location plus potential premiums (e.g., schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed).
