• Perform routine repairs and PMs on equipment.
• Perform quality work in a safe fashion and understand all safety rules for the task being performed.
• In carrying out duties, each person is responsible to work productively and learn skills available through training and job shadowing.
• Enter their work into the computer maintenance system throughout their work shift and use the system to look into repeat repairs and previous work performed on that equipment.
• Safely shut down systems they have been trained on.
• Perform simple tasks without instruction or guidance.
• Make sure all equipment meets standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
• The expectation is all Mechanic II roles can progress to Mechanic III through education and/or demonstrated ability.
• Able to perform repairs by themselves after instruction from Mechanic III.

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Schematic / blueprint reading

• Dexterity with both hands
• Serves as resource to others in resolution of complex problems and issues.

• Willing to work flexible hours / on call
• Mechanics are required to supply their own tools
• Perform work in difficult body positions and environmental conditions from time to time
• Learn more complex tasks as experience is gained

• High school graduate or equivalent diploma

• Prior experience in mechanical areas is desired
