Job Description

Starting hourly rate $18.00 per hour

Schedule: 20 hours per week

Position requires at least one weekend day and/or requires Saturdays 9-5:30

QPC:

The Quality Parenting Center (QPC) is a program that provides parents and their children with a comfortable and homelike setting where families can safely spend time together and create positive memories. The Visiting Coach model empowers parents through visit planning, and assists them with identifying and responding to their children’s needs. Visits can be scheduled 365 days a year, evenings and weekends included in order to best meet the needs of the families.

QPC is tasked with facilitating transportation for parents and children. The TCA position requires a great deal of time transporting children in agency and personal vehicles. In order to safely facilitate the transports, staff must be able to carry and install car seats in agency mini-vans which requires being able to climb in and out of the back seats.

JOB SUMMARY

The Juvenile Transportation/Case Aide is responsible for providing transportation to clients to and from program as scheduled. Primarily travel based or picking up multiple clients within a common destination. The Juvenile Transportation/Case Aide provides feedback to supervisor(s) and staff regarding any problems or difficulties relating to client transports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides transportation to clients from program as per schedule.
  • Engages clients while transporting.
  • Attends trainings and meetings, as needed, to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Maintains mileage log and all other required documentation.
  • Reports vehicle problems to Property Management.
  • Assists in weekly vehicle inspection and completion of forms.
  • Reports any difficulties with clients while transporting to supervisor.
  • Observes all traffic laws, safety regulations and safety procedures, i.e., safety belt use.
  • Supervises behavior of clients while in the agency vehicle and immediately reports any incidents or disclosures.
  • Engages in strength-based, culturally competent, trauma-informed and gender responsive interactions with clients/families.
  • Upholds all program expectations.
  • Promotes a safe, welcoming environment with a focus on risk reduction and positive behavior change.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness within the vehicle.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    EDUCATION

    • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates in Human Services or related field preferred.

      Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a motor vehicle.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
    • Minimum of 3 years driving experience.
    • No more than one moving violation or accident within the past three years.
    • No DWI or DUI convictions.
