AH-Maintenance Test Pilot

Overview

Yulista Contract Services LLC provides full on‑site and off‑site maintenance flight operations to support the US Army Flight Test Directorate (AFTD) at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The work is conducted in accordance with current Army directives, including AR 95‑1 and AR 95‑20, and includes completion of maintenance test flights, functional check flights, electromagnetic compatibility checks (EMC), and test support missions as directed.

• Plan and conduct missions, including general and limited maintenance test flights.
• Conduct ferry flights and EMC checks.
• Carry out any other test support missions as directed.
• Act as subject‑matter expert supporting the US Army Aviation Technical Test Center.
• Prepare flight plans considering altitude, terrain, weather, aircraft, crew capabilities, operational and training requirements, and flight procedures.
• Test both normal and emergency functions of aircraft systems.
• Coordinate and direct flight phases with other aircraft.
• Maintain flight records and report observations made during missions.
• Provide detailed and effective communications with ground maintenance personnel on the results of maintenance and acceptance test flights.
• During non‑flight periods, perform the duties of a Technical Inspector as needed.
• Work overtime and weekends as required by the supervisor.

• Maintenance Examiner (ME) designation.
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate.
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) certificate.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Meet all requirements for rated aviator per service guidance for the specific design, type, and series of aircraft involved.
• Graduate of the Army Maintenance Test Pilot Course or have an equivalency evaluation for the AH‑64.
• Minimum of 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot‑in‑Command time, of which 300 hours must be in the AH‑64.
• FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot certificate.
• Valid, current FAA or military Class II Medical Certificate.
• US Citizen.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Participation in a post‑offer, pre‑employment substance‑abuse test.
