- Work with Industrial Engineers, production floor operators, and manufacturing support staff to resolve issues related to product flow, quality, ergonomics, and safety using state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques.
- Develop or improve designs for fixtures or tooling to aid in manufacturing processes, including building, verifying, and implementing those fixtures using laser machines, 3D printers, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Identify root causes of manufacturing defects and process inefficiencies, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Program and operate manufacturing equipment such as laser machines and 3D printers to support fixture development.
- Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Various manufacturing techniques used to build advanced electronic equipment.
- How aerospace manufacturing environments function and operate effectively.
- Skills to prioritize and balance multiple projects.
- Firsthand experience of what it is like to work as an engineer in the industry.
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM major through the completion of the co-op session. Completed at least 60 credit hours prior to the start of the internship/co-op session.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
- Experience with Solid Works modeling.
- Experience with VBA or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge or experience with 3D modeling or laser cutting.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD.
