Controller / CFO – Manchester, IA

Gosling & Company, P.C., a respected public accounting firm, is seeking an experienced Controller/CFO to join our team! This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility for day-to-day accounting and financial management. The current individual in this position is retiring and will be available for a transition period to ensure a smooth handoff.

• Maintain and manage accounting systems and records for four related entities: main operating company, real estate rental entity, equity partnership, small investment LLC
• Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements
• Prepare budgets and forecast cash flow
• Process semi-monthly payroll and reporting for 30-40 employees with varied compensation structures
• Coordinate with internal HR and third-party administrators for employee benefits administration
• Manage accounts payable, deposits, and cash flow
• Manage liability and malpractice insurance
• Record corporate minutes for shareholder meetings
• Prepare annual valuations and buy-sell agreements for shareholders
• Manage annual office remodel and improvement projects

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required); CPA preferred
• Strong proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
