IT Intern - Summer

Position: IT Intern - Summer 2026
Join Henderson Products Inc., located in Manchester, IA! We are the North American leader in the design, manufacture and up fit of multi-purpose equipment for heavy-duty work trucks specializing in snow and ice control and Keeping Americas Roads Safe!

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
As an IT Infrastructure Intern, you will work closely with the IT department to assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, deployments, monitoring, and optimization of our IT systems and infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT operations, network administration, hardware management, and other key areas of IT infrastructure.

* Assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure systems (laptops, desktops, workstations, tablets, printers, etc.)

* Support the installation and configuration of software and hardware components

* Help monitor system performance and perform basic diagnostics to ensure optimal operation

* Help maintain and update documentation related to IT systems, processes, and infrastructure projects

* Assist in troubleshooting IT-related issues for staff and end-users

* Work on assigned projects to improve IT infrastructure efficiency, security, or scalability

* Collaborate with senior IT staff on routine maintenance, upgrades, and system updates

* Provide technical support and assistance to team members as needed

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

* Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

* Basic understanding of IT systems, networking, and hardware components

* Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows)

* Some knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently

* Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

WORKING CONDITIONS:

* Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.

* Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
