HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE- Create and maintain daily production schedules, balancing capacity and unit goals to support Production
- Utilize scheduling rules to ensure a balanced schedule across product lines
- Generate shop orders based on customer orders
- Print, sort, and distribute shop order paperwork by department
- Identify, document, and communicate shortages prior to releasing orders
- Create, manage, and schedule service and warranty shop orders
- Monitor Rework application to determine rework requirements and create the necessary shop orders in TCM
- Develop a solid understanding of the shop order structure in TCM to effectively complete shop order modifications, as needed.
- Assign serial numbers and print serial tags
- Communicate high priority orders
- Monitor actual production performance against the schedule
- Analyze demand and work with Inventory Control to manage Kanban and stocked inventory levels
- Process Engineering Changes on existing shop orders
- Adjust schedules as needed when priorities shift or issues arise
- Clearly communicate to the appropriate departments when scheduling changes occur
- Work as part of a cross functional team to ensure Production is supplied with the necessary information to avoid build delays
- Communicate with Inside Sales on the status of customer orders
- Support inventory control efforts by identifying orders that can consume excess inventory
- Assist with shop order claiming issues and dashboard data cleanup
- Support production activities, as required, including the company's physical inventory

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations
- High school diploma required, technical degree preferred
- 1-3 years of related experience in Production Planning/Scheduling
- Previous experience with an ERP/MRP system
- APICS certification is helpful
- Bending, lifting, standing, sitting, filing
- Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
- Exposure to temperature extremes when on shop floor
