This is a 1st shift position with the following hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Performs maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures.
- Trouble shoot and repair electronic and mechanical problems on equipment.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and plumbing.
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facility mechanical components and electrical systems.
- Performs machine repair and general preventative maintenance on equipment in compliance with preventative maintenance programs.
- Provides support in the development and implementation of facility and equipment upgrades.
- Maintains all paperwork to document repair and preventative maintenance work completed.
- Working with chemicals and maintaining Hazardous Waste manifests.
- Complies with SOP’s (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer’s specifications, and safety policies.
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards for Safe work practice, hazard assessment and mitigation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- You’ll learn about safety protocols and best practices to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of yourself and others in the workplace.
- Being a key player or owner of some site safety programs.
- You’ll become skilled at diagnosing problems when equipment or systems malfunction. This often involves understanding how different components work together and using diagnostic tools to identify issues.
- You’ll learn how to perform repairs and preventative maintenance to keep equipment and systems in good working order. This might involve tasks like replacing parts, calibrating equipment, or conducting routine inspections.
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of machinery and mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Maintenance Management System (Enfor) as well as common office technology including MS office suite of software and other Web based tools.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
