Occupational Therapist

Overview

The Therapy Department at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Long View is looking for an OT Occupational Therapist to fill a full-time position. You'll be part of our skilled nursing facility, providing outstanding and individualized care.

Using therapeutic techniques, you will improve, rehabilitate, or maintain the patient's motor skills and overall ability to perform everyday activities. The OT Occupational Therapist will assess the patient's physical, communication and cognitive skills to develop a treatment plan. You must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively understand the needs of your patients, and explain the treatment process. Additionally, you must be able to clearly document treatment plans and progress, as well as effectively communicate with the patient's family or caregiver.

• Assess patients  physical, communication and cognitive skills to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide OT services to improve, rehabilitate, or maintain motor skills and daily living activities.
• Document treatment plans and progress clearly and effectively communicate with patients  families or caregivers.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and participate in decision making to support patient care.
• Maintain professional standards and regulatory compliance.

• Active state OT license is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to clearly document treatment plans and progress.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.

While we cannot guarantee hours, we are typically able to offer a full caseload. Majority of our facilities are in close proximity, allowing us to offer you additional hours at nearby locations.

Staff are eligible for performance reviews, where there is always an opportunity for an increase.

What s great about our field is its variety of practice areas. Therapists/DORs that leave our company, mostly do so to pursue other practice specialties. While many stay PRN with us, we rarely see our therapists joining a competing SNF.

They are all actively present in the facilities, collaborating directly with each team member to ensure you have a well-supported work environment.

Salary: $43 - $50 per hour
