Mobile Notary St Louis is the region's top-known mobile notary service, providing clients with convenient and reliable notary services across the St. Louis and St. Charles areas. We are seeking a highly professional and reliable Independent Contractor to join our established team.
This is an on-call, per-appointment, independent contractor position (non-employee). Ideal for someone seeking flexible hours and excellent earning potential on a part-time schedule.
Required Availability(Must be available / "On Call") Apointments are typically scheduled at least two hours in advance. To be a qualified potential, you MUST be available and quickly responsive during the following "on-call" windows to accept work:
- Monday - Friday 9am
-6pm - Potential appointments during select weekends: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Saturdays & Sundays)
Note: If you're not explicitly available on an average during 75% of these hours, due to another job or ongoing commitments, please do not apply. Availability during these hours is needed. Being available during these hours does not promise being scheduled.

- You will be responsible for all your own business expenses, taxes, mileage, insurance, and self-employment costs.
- A 1099 will be issued for tax filing reflecting all income earned with us.
- Accept mobile notary appointments throughout the St. Louis and St. Charles County areas via text message and Calendar invites.
- Travel promptly to clients’ locations (homes, offices, hospitals, etc.) to perform requested notarial services.
- Accurately execute a range of documents such as:
Affidavits, Power of Attorney, trusts, wills, real estate documents and documents requiring witnesses. - Collect payment from the client using our established payment system & options.
- Maintain meticulous organization of completed appointments using Google Calendar and Google Sheets.
- Maintain quick communication with the scheduling team regarding availability and appointment updates.
Will advise upon hiring on obtaining items below
- Must already be or immediately become a currently commissioned Missouri Notary Public.
- Costs involved in becoming a notary are your own out of pocket expenses. Estimated cost $500, includes commission, insurance, supplies needed. Timing takes about 2-3 weeks to be ready to start accepting appointments with us.
- Must sign a non-compete contract and independent contractor contract.
- Must provide own Notary supplies (stamp, log, pens, clipboard, etc)
- Must carry $100,000 in Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance
- Must pass our Notary Basics training and exam before accepting appointments.
- Possess a very reliable vehicle with current auto insurance (proof of policy required).
- Have a good, working cell phone for immediate text communication and scheduling.
- Access to a toner printer is highly helpful for occasional document preparation, but not required.
$50 flat fee per completed appointment. Payment is only paid for appointments successfully completed. Payments are paid out twice monthly.
