About Us :
Martinus is seeking a Procurement Admin to report directly to the Head of Procurement. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in finance, business, or a related field and have a minimum of two years’ experience in procurement or vendor management. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in a construction-related field. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-started with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to perform duties accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities :
Procurement Admin position tasked with a variety of responsibilities that ensure the smooth functioning of procurement processes and vendor management which include:
- Implementing procurement strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Conducting research on potential vendors and suppliers, and evaluating them based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
- Preparing and managing purchase orders and contracts and maintaining detailed records of procurement activities.
- Negotiating with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and monitoring their compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Coordinating with internal departments to ensure proper communication and understanding of procurement needs and specifications.
- Monitoring inventory levels of certain commodities and placing orders as needed to maintain adequate supplies.
- Assisting PE’s with material submittals as needed to Clients.
- Onboard all suppliers to the new Felix platform and ensure that all documentation has been gathered from said suppliers.
- Create & maintain supplier master records in ERP including banking details and administer supplier verification through EFTSure.
Key Tasks and Duties
In addition to the broader responsibilities, specific tasks and duties of a Procurement Administrator include:
- Verifying purchase order receipts.
- Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Resolving issues with suppliers and vendors regarding shipment delays or quality lapses .
- Administering the implementation of procurement software or systems to streamline procurement processes.
- Ensuring adherence to all regulatory and compliance mandates affecting procurement.
Qualifications :
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience in construction-related procurement or supply chain management is preferred.
- Strong skills in negotiation and vendor management.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools is highly desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of applications.
This role demands a high level of diligence, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. An effective Procurement Admin not only contributes to the cost-efficiency of an organization but also strengthens supplier relationships and supports organizational strategy through effective supply chain management.
