This position will have the role of driving and facilitating Continuous Improvement activities primarily in Ste. Genevieve. The continuous improvement engineer will have a deep understanding of costs and business practices to aid in the Ste Genevieve site working on things that bring great value to MLC’s business.

• Work with operations to identify improvement opportunities and assist organization in prioritization of continuous improvement.
• Work with operations and finance to capture the dollar value to the business of all continuous improvement work currently being undertaken by the operations, maintenance, engineering and other teams working at the Ste Genevieve operations.
• Lead the rollout and facilitation of the continuous improvement cost saving program. Facilitate/lead/direct improvement projects across multiple plants in Ste Genevieve simultaneously.
• Promote effective use of contemporary problem-solving tools and industry best practices.
• Coach and mentor project leaders and managers in change management competencies and strategies.
• Assist engineers, operations and maintenance personnel in building business justification for their projects and help the same staff set work priorities.
• Train and develop employees in problem solving methods and techniques.
• Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities, as needed.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent experience without a technical degree).
• Experience:
  
  5 or more years related operational excellence experience in a top-notch manufacturing and/or service environment. Overall strong analytical capabilities with relevant experience in financial and general business background. Strong coaching, training and facilitating experience along with history of developing high performance teams.
• Knowledge:
  Must be intimately familiar with continuous improvement philosophy, terminology and tools application.
• Travel:
  Travel to the Regional Sites as necessary to drive activities and ensure continuous improvement at each site – 10 - 25%
