As part of BJC Healthcare's commitment to providing exceptional care, we are looking for a dedicated BMT Oncology Nurse to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role focuses on the care of patients undergoing bone marrow transplants and managing complications from oncology treatments. The BMT Oncology Nurse will be instrumental in both inpatient and outpatient settings, delivering clinical excellence and compassionate care in line with BJC Healthcare's standards.
- Assess patient conditions through vigilant monitoring and evaluation.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other medications safely.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and expected outcomes.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain patient records with up-to-date treatment and condition monitoring.
- Participate in oncology and transplantation clinical trials and studies.
- Proficient in IV therapy and central line care
- Knowledge of oncology medication and treatment side effects management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle emotionally charged situations

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
