As an Accounting Specialist (Sales Tax), you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timely filing and payment of all sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions. Maintain accurate reconciliation of sales tax accounts and support audit readiness, and identify and implement improvements to sales tax processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

The work environment is fast-paced, and the ideal candidate will be able to shift priorities with ease. This person will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong computer skills, and a desire to learn and grow.

The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, working in the office at our Manchester, NH location.

Main responsibilities:

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate general ledger postings.
• Assist with sales tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Maintain exemption certificates and ensure proper documentation for tax‑exempt sales.
• Support internal teams with tax‑related questions and provide guidance on the taxability of products and services.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax reporting.
• Collaborate with the credit and collections team to reduce past‑due balances and improve cash flow.
• Assist in preparing and issuing customer invoices accurately and on time.

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum of two years related experience (sales tax compliance).
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Computer literacy with demonstrated knowledge of MS Office required.
• Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (Sage
  100, Avalara, SAP).
• Familiarity with tax automation tools such as Avalara.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
