Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to support financial operations for a Contract position based in Manchester, New Hampshire. This role will oversee core accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and help ensure timely reporting in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with month-end processes, reconciliations, and audit support, along with the ability to work effectively within Sage X3.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close process by coordinating deadlines, reviewing financial activity, and ensuring accurate completion of all required entries.
• Manage the general ledger by monitoring account activity, maintaining accuracy across balances, and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and review journal entries to support routine accounting operations and accurate financial reporting.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain integrity across financial records.
• Support financial statement audit activities by organizing documentation, responding to auditor requests, and helping address follow-up items.
• Produce inventory-related reporting and partner with operations teams to improve visibility into manufacturing and stock activity.
• Use Sage X3 to maintain accounting data, generate reports, and support day-to-day financial management tasks.
