Southern New Hampshire University is seeking student employees for the role of Office Assistant in the Robert Frost Building/Belknap for the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education. This role supports the Dean's Office and faculty and staff with administrative and student-facing tasks, helping to create a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities- Maintain supply stock and keep the office clean and organized.
- Act as central reporting person for building issues.
- Make popcorn for events.
- Support faculty and clubs when setting up for events.
- Direct students and visitors to rooms and offices within Robert Frost.
- Support the Dean’s Suite with classroom schedule postings.
- Maintain “faculty publications” and other locked cabinets in lobby.
- Support the Humanities Lab.
- Open exhibits by preparing materials and other tasks in time for the opening.
- Maintain classroom supplies (markers, erasers, etc).
- Post class cancellation signs.
- Remove expired posters throughout the building.
- Help maintain faculty printers.
- Complete other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
- Maintain coverage at the front desk.
- Current enrollment in a degree program at SNHU.
- Federal Work-Study as part of the financial aid package.
- Reliable, friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for helping others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining an organized and clean office environment.
This is a part‑time position with flexible hours for students with work‑study funds. The student worker will report directly to the Administrative Manager, Laura Couch, and will receive guidance, training, and support through their employment.
Hours & CompensationHours:
5–20 hours/week
Wage: $13.50 (Hourly pay range $13.00–$15.00; actual offer based on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity).
