Office Assistant for the Wolak Learning Center

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Office Assistant for the Wolak Learning Center. The Wolak Learning Center (WLC) Student Assistant supports the daily operations of the WLC by providing front desk customer service, assisting with administrative and data entry tasks, preparing for events, and maintaining office resources. This position serves as a key resource for students by creating a welcoming environment, connecting visitors with appropriate services, and supporting the WLC team in delivering high-quality academic support programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Courteously greet visitors to the Wolak Learning Center
  • Direct students seeking assistance to appropriate resources
  • Maintain front office forms, resources, and technologies
  • Assist with planning and setting up WLC events to ensure smooth execution
  • Assist Coordinators and Peer Educators with data entry tasks
  • Evening office coverage to assist Peer Educators with closing responsibilities
  • Other projects as assigned by Wolak Learning Center staff

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate day student on the Manchester campus
  • Applicants should possess a positive attitude and willingness to help others
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and ease in relating to students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Given the sensitive nature of the information in this area, Office Assistants are expected to comply with confidentiality standards established for the position
  • Excellent level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with design programs such as Canva Pro
  • Knowledge of Wolak Learning Center's services
  • Knowledge of various campus student services
  • Applicants should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Office Assistants will be expected to utilize their own computer where appropriate

Work Hours:

Office Assistants will be required to work a minimum of 3, 3-hour shifts, Monday – Thursday, between the hours of 9am – 6:00pm, Friday, 9:am – 3:30 pm. Schedule will be dependent on candidates' availability.

Compensation:

The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
