Job Summary

As a Student Office Worker, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office. This position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented student who possesses excellent organizational and communication skills. You will have the opportunity to gain practical work experience while contributing to the overall efficiency of our organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • General Office Support:
    Assist with various administrative tasks, including photocopying, scanning, filing, and data entry into the 25

    Live scheduling system.
  • Campus Event Support:
    Support event operations by transporting materials, skirting tables, and checking event spaces prior to event day to ensure departmental standards are met.
  • Reception Duties:
    Greet visitors, answer incoming calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
  • Record Keeping:
    Assist in organizing and maintaining office records, documents, and files systematically and confidentially.
  • Supplies Management:
    Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and assist in ordering and restocking as necessary.
  • Special Projects:
    Help with a variety of department projects and day-to-day assignments as needed. This may include supporting client meet-and-greets, creating social media and marketing content, helping coordinate events, researching information, and pitching in with other office priorities.
  • Office Environment:
    Maintain a clean and organized office space, including common areas, conference rooms, and workstations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate Day program at SNHU.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally in both written and verbal interactions.
  • Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Outlook, Canva).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to meeting deadlines.
  • Previous office experience or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Work-Study Funding is required.
Work Hours

The office is open 8:00 am- 4:30 pm Monday-Friday for office hours. Student office hours will be set based around the student's class schedule.

    The student will strengthen their ability to think through day-to-day office needs, help resolve scheduling questions, and respond to unexpected challenges in a thoughtful and practical way.

    The student will get hands-on experience with everyday office technology and department systems, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, College Net 25

    Live, and other tools used to keep daily operations running smoothly.

    The student will learn how to work closely with office staff, student employees, and campus partners to complete tasks, support events, and help the department reach shared goals.
  • Understanding of Business Operations:
    By working in an office environment, a student can gain a better understanding of how businesses operate, which can be valuable in many future career paths.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
