BB Business Development Officer

Hiring Range: $77,878 - $127,942

The posted salary range reflects Eastern’s expected hiring range. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors; additional compensation may apply. This role will focus primarily on new client acquisition in the marketplace. This includes assisting clients with the right bank products and services, and consulting with them on a regular basis on a variety of financial topics. The candidate must be community‑driven, looking to make an impact in the small business community. The BDO must have and/or establish strong relationships with advisors, community organizations, centers of influence and other connections that can aid in helping small businesses thrive and prosper.

• Manage relationships externally with key Community Partners to leverage programs, tools and resources that can assist small business customers grow and make their business more profitable.
• Source, evaluate and recommend new small business banking opportunities for loan and deposit relationships, including both C&I and CRE relationships.
• Manage a portfolio of small business clients to help minimize risk for the bank, cross‑sell within the book of business and create a positive customer experience.
• Coordinate calling and relationships management activities with multiple internal business partners including investments, treasury, retail, and insurance.
• Conduct preliminary underwriting and structure of credit requests.
• Maintain internal bank contact management system including full history.

• Able to utilize full range of prospecting sales activities.
• Technologically proficient.

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent related experience) required.

• Demonstrated basic knowledge of credit.
• Must demonstrate that the candidate has community ties with key partners to leverage in business relationships.
