Senior Quantity Surveyor / Project Quantity Surveyor

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with a leading residential developer delivering high-quality new build housing schemes across the North West?
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor
, although we would also welcome applications from ambitious Project Quantity Surveyors who have gained the right experience and are ready to progress into a more senior role.
Working as part of a well-established commercial team, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple residential developments from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing project costs and budgets
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparing and issuing subcontract packages
- Valuations, variations and cost reporting
- Managing subcontractor accounts and payments
- Producing CVRs and monthly forecasts
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Supporting the delivery team to achieve programme and financial targets
- Final account negotiation and agreement
We are keen to speak with both established Senior Quantity Surveyors and experienced Project Quantity Surveyors who possess:
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience within the residential construction sector
- Experience delivering new build housing developments
- Background working for a national or regional house builder
- Strong knowledge of traditional and timber frame housing construction methods
- Experience managing multiple live developments simultaneously
- Strong subcontract procurement and account management skills
- Excellent commercial awareness and cost control ability
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing to a wider commercial team
- Experience with developments ranging from 50 to 500+ units
- Exposure to mixed‑tenure housing schemes
- Working knowledge of JCT contracts
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
