Are you friendly, dependable, and interested in making a difference on campus? The Career & Professional Development Center is looking for enthusiastic students to serve as Career Ambassadors—the welcoming face of our office and a key resource for students, alumni, employers, and faculty.
This is a great opportunity to help others, gain professional experience, and build career-ready skills while supporting the SNHU community.
What You'll Do- Welcome visitors and create a friendly, professional environment.
- Serve as a first point of contact, answer questions, and connect visitors with the appropriate resources.
- Assist students with scheduling career appointments.
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and transfer calls professionally.
- Support Career Center projects, outreach, and events.
- Represent the Career Center alongside staff at campus events, classroom visits, and information tables.
- Help prepare for, set up, and support Career Center events and programs.
- A friendly, approachable attitude and genuine interest in helping others.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Dependability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to take initiative and jump in where needed.
- Current full-time enrollment in an undergraduate campus program.
- Federal Work Study eligibility as part of your financial aid package.
- Strong verbal communication skills and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.
- Preferred, but not required:
Previous customer service or office experience.
As a Career Ambassador, you'll gain hands-on experience and develop skills that will serve you well beyond graduation, including:
- Communication & Customer Service
- Time Management & Organization
- Professionalism & Problem-Solving
- Teamwork & Cultural Competence
- 10–12 hours per week, with up to 20 hours during busy periods.
- Shifts are scheduled Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional early evening events.
- Pay: $13.00–$13.50/hour

The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
