Academic Inpatient Psychiatrist
The Department of Psychiatry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock is seeking an Academic Inpatient Psychiatrist to join its faculty at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center located in beautiful northern New England. In this role, you will be scheduled as a hospitalist model covering an adult inpatient psychiatric unit at the academic medical center. You will lead one of 3 interdisciplinary teams caring for voluntary and involuntary patients on our 24 bed unit.
You will supervise psychiatry residents and medical students on a daily basis as a major component of this role. On average you would be scheduled 6-10 weekend calls per year covering the inpatient service and 8-10 weeks off (vacation or CME) per year. The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician and enthusiastic teacher, with strong interest and experience in Psychiatry.
Candidates should be board certified (or eligible) in Psychiatry. Academic rank at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Licensure/Certification s
- Current New Hampshire Medical License
- Current or eligible for ABMS Board Certification (to be obtained within 5 years)
