Role Description

The 3rd Grade Long Term Sub role is a full-time, on-site position located in Manchester, NH. The individual in this role will deliver daily classroom instruction in all core subjects for 3rd grade students, following district and school curricula. Responsibilities include planning and implementing lessons, managing classroom routines, assessing student learning, and maintaining a positive, structured learning environment. The role also involves communicating with caregivers and school staff about student progress, participating in grade-level meetings, and supporting school-wide initiatives.

The long term substitute is expected to uphold district policies, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the social and emotional development of students.

Qualifications
  • Ability to deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction in core 3rd grade subjects and adapt lessons for diverse learning needs.
  • Skills in classroom management, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment, and supporting students' social-emotional growth.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, caregivers, colleagues, and school leadership.
  • Organizational skills for lesson planning, grading, and maintaining accurate student records and documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; appropriate New Hampshire teaching certification or eligibility preferred.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in a classroom or educational setting is highly beneficial.
