Adjunct Faculty Position

The First Year Program at Saint Anselm College, a Roman Catholic undergraduate liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition in Manchester, NH invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to begin August 2026. The successful candidates will teach Enduring Questions, a multidisciplinary course providing every Saint Anselm student a shared learning experience in the Liberal Arts. This is a first-year seminar-based course required of all incoming students.

The course meets Mondays 12:30-1:20 and Tuesdays & Thursdays 11:30-12:45. To be eligible to teach in the program for the Spring semester, candidates must be able to teach a course in a core curricular area:
Theology, Philosophy, History, Arts or Literature, Modern or Classical Languages, or Social Science.

Submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching ability, and academic transcripts to the attention of Professor Aubrey Scheopner Torres, Director of the First Year Program, via the college website. Three letters of recommendation are required and should be submitted in PDF format via email to the Dean's Office, lications will be reviewed as they are received and until the position is filled.

Required Skills:

A Ph.D. is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.

Required Experience:

Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred. Experience teaching in and about the liberal arts is preferred.
