Overview
DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to work in a dynamic Research and Development environment. In this role you will work alongside a group of passionate engineers to create innovative solutions that truly make a difference.
DEKA offers Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). This position is for a 6+ month rotation for the Summer/Fall semester starting in June 2026.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role you need the following skills and experience:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate
Mechanical Engineering program - Mechanical aptitude and hands on mechanical experience (working on cars, fixing bicycles or FIRST robotics a plus)
- SOLIDWORKS (or other CAD program) experience
- Knowledge of creating manufacturing drawings
- Experience with Rapid Prototyping
- Experience with data acquisition and data presentation (python or Lab View experience a plus)
- Knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics (CFD experience a plus)
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detailed oriented
