Field/Service Technician
Verdantas is seeking a Field Technician for Manchester, New Hampshire. The role involves working on complex engineering projects in the environmental consulting and sustainable engineering sectors, with a focus on water resources, resilient land use, energy transformation, and civil infrastructure.
What You’ll Do- Assist in the design and review of complex engineering projects.
- Develop and implement engineering standards and procedures.
- Lead and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and engineers.
- Conduct project meetings and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Oversee the construction and installation of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to standards and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of project details, including as-built drawings and inspection reports.
- Provide expert technical support and recommendations to engineers and project managers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to engineering projects.
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss project requirements and progress.
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
Associate’s Degree and/or trade school preferred. - 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Environmental field experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in facilities maintenance, public works, or a skilled trade such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, construction, or similar fields preferred.
- Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Experience driving large trucks/vans, operating heavy equipment, and towing trailers is desirable.
- Ability to regularly carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 80 lbs. with or without accommodation.
- Ability to work primarily outdoors with occasional office work.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER training and First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
$30.00 - $35.00 / hour
