We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Outage Coordinator to join our team at K&A Power Group in Manchester, New Hampshire
. In this role you will support construction projects and play a key role in planning, scheduling, and overseeing outages that impact the power utility and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee all outages to support construction.
  • Review and refine outage assessments & requirements, organizing kickoff meetings, and conducting follow‑up sessions to establish scope and schedule.
  • Hold on‑site and office meetings to review physical layout, work clearances, and necessary outages.
  • Coordinate outage requirements with other areas to resolve and minimize conflicts.
  • Confirm plan alignment with other ongoing projects within and outside of Eversource.
  • Provide outage plans and drawings, conduct site visits, and facilitate coordination with transmission outage coordination.
  • Facilitate equipment numbering throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Ensure post‑outage system reconfiguration, equipment numbering, and operating procedures align across departments.
  • Review outage plans with all stakeholders in an iterative process.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop viable emergency restoration measures and time estimates.
  • Provide detailed outage plans for TOA development and submission upon project approval.
  • Prepare various versions of the outage plan and conduct follow‑up meetings for final run‑throughs.
  • Deliver outage planning presentations to Project Teams, Control Centers, ISO, Divisions, and Municipals as needed.
  • Refine the finalized plan as conditions change and submit to Application Coordinators.
  • Monitor and control the outage plan, managing changes due to unexpected events that may require resequencing and resubmittal.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to meet guidelines and policies.
  • Maintain a master outage plan that provides visibility of all outage requirements for the New England Company portfolio.
  • Coordinate meetings among Operations, Supervisors, MROs, and Project teams to facilitate work on lines and equipment affected by scheduled outages.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive electric‑utility or related industry experience; preference for transmission facilities construction management experience.
  • Five years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction management practices for electrical utility transmission and generation projects.
  • Strong understanding of interconnected electrical system operations.
  • Knowledge of government regulations, including OSHA, NESC, and industry codes affecting electric utilities.
  • Experience with contract preparation, negotiation, and administration.
  • Working knowledge of budget preparation and administration.
  • Ability to make competent decisions during emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings and technical manuals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project (or equivalent).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to report to site or office as needed.
Pay Range

$140,000 – $165,000 per year (estimated, may vary by experience and other factors).
