Job Summary
Provides administrative support and compliance to the Human Resources Department policies and procedures through effective communication and employee engagement.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 18-24 months experience related to defined job responsibilities or equivalent training; experience in HR an asset
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Knowledge of HR best practices
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of payroll and accounting functions considered an asset
- Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following:
Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook - Communicate with employees, supervisors, and managers to assist in identifying and resolving work issues and concerns through actively participating on the plant floor and other employee engagement exercises.
- Coordinating the Martinrea Orientation Model Program for all temporary and full-time employees, including but not limited to: preparing MOM folders, assisting with interviews, and completing the new hire checklist.
- Drives employee onboarding activities including but not limited to onboarding plans and job specific training plans (JSTP)
- Assists with and maintains communication boards.
- Assists HR Manager and HR Generalists with maintaining and updating job descriptions.
- Assists in employee engagement events overseeing employee committees when applicable.
- Maintains lobby during plant hours (open/close, 5S)
- Assists employees and visitors with travel (ex: rental cars, travel app, hotel reservations)
- Performs general clerical duties such as copying, scanning, and filing business documents
- Assists the Human Resource Department with the management of staff forecasting, interview and hiring process of direct, indirect, and salary employees
- Generate all required documents (i.e. Forms, letters, graphs, etc.)
- Daily reports as required by the Management Team
- Assist with Xeeva + PPE Vendor and fill in as required
- Assist HR in all avenues as required including but not limited to: training, payroll, recruitment, etc.
- All other duties as assigned
80% Office environment, 20% Plant floor (PPE required)
