Position: T&D  Specialist

Our client, a well‑established local law firm in Manchester, is seeking an on‑site Training & Development Specialist with a salary range of $75,000-$85,000
.

Position Summary (On‑Site Role)

The Training & Development Specialist will report directly to the Director of Human Resources and will play a key role in shaping employee growth across the firm. This position is responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, and delivering professional development and training programs that support the firm's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in assessing organizational needs and building tailored training solutions for attorneys and staff across multiple office locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, organize, and deliver training sessions using a variety of instructional approaches such as lectures, workshops, and interactive activities.
  • Conduct needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and collaboration with managers and employees.
  • Build and manage a comprehensive training program specifically for Legal Administrative Assistants.
  • Create training materials including manuals, e‑learning modules, and course content.
  • Review and evaluate external training resources to identify the most effective tools.
  • Deliver engaging, adult-learning-based instruction using diverse teaching methods.
  • Assist in evaluating training effectiveness and improving programs over time.
  • Enhance and maintain the firm's New Hire Orientation program.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling sessions, tracking training costs, coordinating enrollment, and managing training systems and equipment.
  • Manage the firm's learning management system (LMS) and training-related databases.
Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation capabilities.
  • Proficiency with various multimedia training platforms and delivery methods.
  • Ability to research, evaluate, and recommend training solutions.
  • Proven experience designing and executing effective training programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related technology tools.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a training and development role, preferably within a law firm or professional services setting.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and learning technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences.
