Starting Pay: $21.12 per hour (& up, depending on verifiable experience)
Essential Job Functions:
Serve as a representative of the Technology Department by providing quality technical support and service to students, staff, and the Parkway community. Responsible for providing tech support in the schools for hardware, software, peripherals, and interactive whiteboards. Diagnose basic technology hardware, software, and network problems. Assist with school hardware and software upgrades including installation and maintenance of current software releases. Coordinate scheduling and facilitate the use of building technology resources including computer labs, offices, and classroom computers.
Provide instructional assistance in the use of software programs and primary hardware to students, teachers, support staff and administrators. Ensure that all Parkway technology equipment is properly inventoried and tracked. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
:
- 60 college credits at an accredited university; four-year degree, technology certifications, or 2 years' experience is preferred
- Previous experience or basic knowledge of desktop computer hardware and software as well as peripheral devices (printers, scanners, projection devices, Smart Boards, etc.) is preferred
- Ability to work and thrive under pressure
- Ability to travel between buildings as needed throughout the school year
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Communicates clearly, both oral and written
