Instructional Support Assistant

Our office is organized under Information Technology Solutions (ITS), is physically located on our University Campus, and has a walk-up in Robert Frost Hall (room 108).

We are seeking Instructional Support Assistants to concierge for our office, triage technical questions, and produce high-quality, educational documents about our various academic technologies for faculty and students. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding and implementing instructions, proactively requesting more details and clarification as needed, learning and teaching various technologies, and maintaining a respectful and professional demeanor. Additional opportunities are available for motivated hires to use their area of study to impact University Campus in ways few students get.

No previous experience with our technologies required, only an desire to learn!

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a representative of the Office of Instructional Support Services and by extension Information Technology Solutions and Southern New Hampshire University.
  • Greet, direct, and document interactions with faculty, students, and staff that enter our offices in Robert Frost Hall, room 108.
  • Produce job aids for our academic technologies and instructional support using the Screen Steps platform.
  • Ensure all job aids meet accessibility requirements by coordinating with the Digital Experience Team.
  • Provide support for academic technology used in classrooms, including Office
    365, Brightspace, and many more.
  • Opportunities to lead trainings, become a subject matter expert, and work remotely available to those that excel with previously details key responsibilities.
  • Track all work using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Service Portal, and Azure Dev Ops.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
  • Able to physically work on our University Campus in Manchester/Hooksett, NH
  • Demonstrated reliability and dependability in previous roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on kindness and respect in interactions.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions accurately.
  • Willingness to learn and effectively use new technologies, including Microsoft Teams, Office
    365, and Brightspace.
  • Professional grooming and presentation required.

Please also include the hours you are available to work Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30am and 5:00pm.

We are currently hiring for the following concierge hours:

  • Wednesdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm
  • Wednesdays from 2:00pm to 5:00pm
  • More hours will become available throughout the year and with seniority

  • Experience in documenting interactions and managing office operations.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
