Job Description

Our client, a well-established and reputable New Hampshire law firm who represents physicians, hospitals, and healthcare systems, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a focus on Medical Malpractice Defense, who is interested in building a long-term career with a clear path toward partnership.

This position is designed for an experienced associate who will assume increasing responsibility in medical malpractice defense matters and play an integral role in client relationships, case strategy, trial preparation, and litigation.

The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate the skills, judgment, and initiative consistent with advancement toward partnership.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• License in good standing in New Hampshire
• 5+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on medical malpractice defense or complex litigation
• Experience working with medical experts and complex medical records preferred
• Sound judgment in client-facing matters, client development, and firm initiatives
• Independently manage a caseload of medical malpractice and/or professional liability matters
• Develop case strategy in collaboration with partners and clients
• Draft and argue dispositive motions, discovery motions, and evidentiary motions
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Prepare witnesses and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and depositions.
