Envision Technology an innovative small business providing advanced electro-optical solutions for defense applications, is seeking a Procurement Materials & Planner
. In this role, you will be responsible for planning material requirements and managing the procurement lifecycle to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, components, and services needed to support production, operations, and program execution. This position partners closely with Production, Program Management, Engineering, and Suppliers to maintain material availability while optimizing inventory levels and supplier performance.
- Analyze demand requirements into action to ensure the organization is positioned to be successful in fulfilling commitments to the end user.
- Plan and procure raw materials, components, and services to support production schedules and program requirements.
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with suppliers.
- Solicit and evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with Program Management to support RFQs, cost analysis, and material planning activities.
- Maintain accurate part master data, including new part creation, revisions, costs, preferred suppliers, lead times, and other planning attributes within the ERP system.
- Monitor inventory levels and material demand to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Track purchase orders and confirm lead times, delivery dates, pricing, and supplier performance.
- Proactively communicate supplier delays and material shortages while coordinating recovery plans with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable procurement regulations. Support Accounts Payable with purchase order and invoice discrepancies as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement, inventory management, and planning processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, materials planning, production planning, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of purchasing principles, inventory management, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Experience working in an ERP/MRP environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret demand, inventory, and supplier data.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Infor VISUAL ERP
- Experience in the defense or aerospace industry preferred.
Additional Information:
- Applicant must be a US Person.
- Travel to supplier location as required.
