A well-established, growth-oriented advisory firm is seeking an experienced Head of Client Service to lead and evolve its client service function. This is a leadership role for a service-focused professional who enjoys building teams, refining processes, and delivering a consistently high-touch client experience.
The RoleThe Head of Client Service is responsible for overseeing all client service operations, managing a team of client service professionals, and ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across the client lifecycle. This role serves as a key escalation point for complex service needs and partners closely with operations, planning, technology, and compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a team of client service professionals, setting clear expectations and performance standards
- Oversee all client service activities, including account maintenance, transfers, money movement, and documentation
- Ensure service requests are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with firm and regulatory standards
- Act as an escalation point for complex client service issues and ensure timely resolution
- Partner with operations, planning, technology, and compliance teams to improve workflows and service efficiency
- Monitor service metrics and team performance to identify trends, bottlenecks, and training needs
- Support documentation standards, SOP development, and continuous improvement initiatives
- 3+ years of experience in financial services or wealth management operations
- Prior leadership or team management experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of investment accounts, insurance products, and client service workflows
- Series 63, 65, or 66 (active or obtainable)
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills
- Ability to balance detail-oriented execution with team leadership
