The Executive Director is the chief executive officer of Helping Hands Outreach Ministries, a charitable non‑profit Christian based organization that serves motivated men in Greater Manchester, NH to live sober, responsible lives. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides overall leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight to ensure the organization fulfills its mission of offering housing, support, and pathways toward stability and independence.
The Annual Budget is approximately $650,000. The Executive Director manages two full‑time and six part‑time staff, oversees all programs and services, ensures sound fiscal management, and serves as the primary public representative of the organization within the community.

- Develop and implement strategic plans that strengthen housing programs, expand services, and increase organizational sustainability.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to translate vision into actionable goals, measurable outcomes, and annual priorities.
- Lead regular staff meetings to communicate goals, review program progress, address challenges, and reinforce mission alignment.
- Promote a culture grounded in faith, integrity, accountability, compassion, and mutual respect.
- Identify emerging community needs related to homelessness, recovery from substance use disorder, and develop appropriate responses.
- Directly supervise key staff, providing coaching, accountability, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings with staff to review caseloads, operational issues, resident progress, and professional development goals.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and retention of staff to ensure a committed, Christ‑centered team.
- Ensure staff interactions with residents reflect dignity, structure, compassion, and consistency.
- Monitor program outcomes, including housing stability, employment progress, recovery milestones, and spiritual growth opportunities.
- Address workplace concerns promptly, fostering unity and reducing conflict.
- Maintain oversight of facility operations at both housing locations, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and adherence to house guidelines. This includes Fire Safety, health department licensure, compliance with city (building inspections every 3 years), state, and Veterans Administration inspection standards.

- Develop and manage the annual operating budget in collaboration with the Board Finance Committee.
- Monitor monthly income and expenses, providing regular financial reports and forecasts to the Board.
- Oversee government contracts, grants, and funding agreements to ensure full compliance with reporting requirements.
- Review and approve expenditures, payroll, and vendor agreements to ensure responsible stewardship of donor funds.
- Maintain appropriate policies and procedures related to risk management, human resources, and regulatory compliance. Board Treasurer is to review and approve monthly bank accounts.
- Ensure accurate record‑keeping for residents, financial transactions, and program outcomes.
- Lead the organization’s fundraising strategy, including annual events, direct appeals, major donor cultivation, church partnerships, and grant applications.
- Meet regularly with key donors, faith leaders, business owners, and community partners to strengthen relationships and communicate impact.
