Laser Marking Operator

The Laser Marking Operator I will operate laser marking machine and laser mark instruments per customers' prints and requirements.

• Starts up and shuts down laser marking machines
• Follows program notes to build and install fixturing
• Maintains proper line clearance for job
• Completes jobs per standard procedures
• Performs 100% visual inspection of markings on each piece
• Measures any dimensions using proper equipment to confirm program is correct (i.e., caliper, optical comparator, gauging) and adjusts as needed
• Confirms proper focus to achieve desired markings
• Initials, dates, and confirms piece count is correct
• Works independently and maintains productivity and quality
• Reads and interprets prints

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred

• Prefer the ability to read blueprints (Level
  2) and use measurement tools (Level
  1)
• Math aptitude with the ability to add and subtract decimals
• Prefer computer skills
• Prefer Microsoft Office knowledge
• Prefer Drawing Editor software experience (Level
  2)
• Prefer working knowledge of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, comparators)
