The Laser Marking Operator I will operate laser marking machine and laser mark instruments per customers' prints and requirements.
Principal Responsibilities- Starts up and shuts down laser marking machines
- Follows program notes to build and install fixturing
- Maintains proper line clearance for job
- Completes jobs per standard procedures
- Performs 100% visual inspection of markings on each piece
- Measures any dimensions using proper equipment to confirm program is correct (i.e., caliper, optical comparator, gauging) and adjusts as needed
- Confirms proper focus to achieve desired markings
- Initials, dates, and confirms piece count is correct
- Works independently and maintains productivity and quality
- Reads and interprets prints
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Prefer the ability to read blueprints (Level
2) and use measurement tools (Level
1) - Math aptitude with the ability to add and subtract decimals
- Prefer computer skills
- Prefer Microsoft Office knowledge
- Prefer Drawing Editor software experience (Level
2) - Prefer working knowledge of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, comparators)

Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee could be required to stand.
