Maintenance Lead - 3rd Shift

Merrimack Manufacturing is a medical device manufacturer located in the Manchester Millyard. We are a growing manufacturing company that will play a crucial part in bringing innovative and life changing products to life.

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations within a medical device manufacturing environment. This role ensures production equipment, facilities, and support systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements. The Maintenance Lead provides hands-on technical support, coordinates preventive maintenance activities, and assists in leading maintenance technicians to minimize downtime and support production goals.

• Lead and support daily activities of the maintenance team.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and facility systems.
• Coordinate and perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production support requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs.
• Assist with installation, validation, and qualification of new equipment.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Facilities teams.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and assist with ordering replacement components.
• Train, supervise and mentor maintenance technicians on equipment and procedures.
• Participate in audits and support corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure proper lockout/tagout and safe maintenance practices are followed.

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with PLCs, automation systems, and production equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office.

Associate degree or technical certification in Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• May require occasional overtime or weekend support.

• Fast-paced medical device manufacturing environment.
• Requires adherence to cleanroom, safety, and quality procedures where applicable.
